McConnell Mocks Biden, Gives Warning On What’s About To Hit The Democratic Party
While Mitch McConnell is not what I would want in a Republican Congressman, he at least is willing and able to take swings at the Democrats on a regular basis.
I do think that McConnell has probably done some good things for this country, but he has also allowed several bad things to happen and I would be happy to see him out of Congress.
This time, he mocked Joe Biden after his horrible press conference on Thursday which followed a disastrous one on Wednesday.
In an interview with Bret Baier, Baier asked him about the troubling remark of what Biden said is a “minor incursion” in Ukraine. This, of course, will be much more than simply a “minor incursion” McConnell said,
“Well, my good friend the president got it wrong once again,” McConnell responded. “I helped him pass a bipartisan infrastructure bill. I supported in the Senate a bill to deal with China and the computer chip shortage. If the president starts acting like a moderate, like he campaigned, we can do business. The reason we have not been speaking recently, this year, is because he adopted the Bernie Sanders prescription for America. He did that even though he got no mandate for it, a 50/50 Senate and a couple-of-seat majority in the House. And they couldn’t get it through.”
“And the reason I couldn’t get it through, the American people are not for all of this,” he added. “They thought they were electing a moderate. If the president wants to reinvent himself and come back to the middle, we have things to talk about that we can work on together.”
“I think the midterm election almost certainly is going to be a referendum on the party in power,” McConnell said. “This is an entirely Democratic government, Democratic president, House, and Senate. They are in charge of governing. And these midterm elections are always a report card on the performance of those who are in charge, those who are governing. I think the American people are about to send this administration a pretty big message that they do not approve of all the things that are going wrong.”
I honestly, have to agree with McConnell. Biden has gone more to the far left rather than being the moderate that Democrats elected and this has hurt him severely. Think about it…Obama was loved by Democrats the entire time he was in office. Even today, they still love him and probably wish that he could run again. But Biden is hated by the right and a large chunk of the left. Democrats elected him because he was basically the only moderate in the conversation. They didn’t want Sanders, they didn’t want Kamala, and they didn’t want and of those other bozos running. They chose the moderate because that’s what they wanted. But that’s not at all what they got and we over here on the right knew this was coming from 100 miles away.
