MERRY CHRISTMAS! Two More Democrats Facing Prison for Public Corruption
I know I mention it from time to time, but it still blows my mind how Democrats can’t see that their party is nothing more than a bunch of white-collar criminals.
How many times have we seen politicians get themselves into trouble, get indicted, and sent to jail? And how many of them were Democrats? I would say nearly every one of them.
Some of the ones that come to mind right off of the bat are Rod Blagojevich , Anthony Weiner, Corrine Brown, and soon-to-be Andrew Cuomo after all is said and done.
But that’s just a few of the names. There are several more who have landed themselves in criminal activity, but have worked their own system that they’ve built to get themselves off of the hook. The most notable name here is Hillary Clinton who committed several federal crimes and was let off without even a slap on the wrist for her email scandal.
Well, there are some more people that can be added to this list as a couple of high-profile Democrats are now facing corruption charges. Surprise, surprise.
Fox News reported,
Three weeks after McCasland’s allegations against Turner, the mayor canceled the project while claiming the deal had become “too much of a distraction.”
Carmen Roe, a defense lawyer and adjunct professor at the University of Houston School of Law, told Fox News in a phone interview that subpoenas for Turner “are likely to be forthcoming,” although none are currently in play.
Roe also said that “no one can possibly guess as to what a grand jury is going to do” when it came to charges against Hidalgo and that “there’s a lot of information that we don’t know.”
“What we do know is: very suspicious, highly irregular and could lead to criminal charges,” Roe said.
“Both cases, at a value of greater than $300,000, are first-degree felonies,” she added, referring to Hidalgo and Turner. “Which means they carry a possible punishment range of a minimum of five years in prison up to life in prison.”
