Jen Psaki Blames Border Crisis on GOP Congress
This has got to be one of the worst attempts at blame-shifting that I’ve heard from White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.
Normally, she’s at least moderately smooth about avoiding answering difficult questions or shifting blame President Trump, but this time, she just fell flat on her face.
We’re all aware of the disaster going on at the border. Hundreds of thousands of immigrants are flooding the border to get into the country and Joe Biden is doing nothing to stop it from happening. In fact, just this month we know that he released 12,000 Haitians into the country. And as much as the Biden regime is pushing vaccinations, I’ll guarantee you that they came strolling in completely unvaccinated.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I think they should be vaccinated, I don’t believe that they should since it doesn’t even work and causes harm. But I’m pointing out the hypocrisy of the Biden regime by mandating so many people to get vaccinated, but not the ones most likely to spread it.
Psaki said that the border crisis won’t be resolved until we fix the system in place that’s allowing this to happen. I agree with that remark. However, what she said about the system and fixing it is way off base.
“The White House believes that — and the President believes that our immigration system is incredibly broken…”
When pressed about what Biden is going to do to address the issue since immigration reform has stalled in Congress, Psaki said, “Well, we would argue that — for all of those Republicans who are standing at the border and giving speeches about how broken the system is: Why don’t you join us and be a part of the solution instead of relying on speeches?”
“Because we can work together and get immigration reform passed and make the system work and make it operational. We can have border restrictions that make sense,” she said. “We can have a humane system that ensures that people can apply for asylum in an equitable way. That’s something — we all agree the system is broken. I think the question is: Who’s going to work with us to get changes done to make it better?”
The Republicans have been trying to solve the problem this whole time. It was Joe Biden who on Day One shut down the construction of the border wall. And now she tries to blame Republicans for not working with them? Do I need to remind her that Democrats control both houses? They can pass whatever legislation they want to fix this if they think they have a solution. I haven’t heard a single idea come out of the Biden regime to control this problem.
