After dealing with the drama from liberal attorneys in Georgia, the McCloskeys’ problems with the incident that occurred last year looks like it’s finally over.

I’m sure you remember the incident in which both of the McCloskeys came out of their home armed to defend their property after a group of thugs came into their neighborhood right in front of their property with threats against them.

Here’s a reminder:

It’s hilarious to hear the commentator say that this was peaceful protesters. You may remember that they actually broke down the gate leading into the community. I guess they did that in a peaceful manner? I mean that just screams peace to me. Doesn’t it to you?

Thankfully, Missouri Governor Mike Parson has pardoned Mark and Patricia McCloskey this week.

Parson, a Republican, on Friday pardoned Mark McCloskey, who pleaded guilty in June to misdemeanor fourth-degree assault and was fined $750, and Patricia McCloskey, who pleaded guilty to misdemeanor harassment and was fined $2,000.

“Mark McCloskey has publicly stated that if he were involved in the same situation, he would have the exact same conduct,” the McCloskeys’ lawyer Joel Schwartz said Tuesday. “He believes that the pardon vindicates that conduct.”

The special prosecutor, Richard Callahan said, “There was no evidence that any of them had a weapon and no one I interviewed realized they had ventured onto a private enclave.”

Here’s the thing, it doesn’t matter if they had one or not. It’s not the job of the McCloskeys to pat down everyone to see if any of them have weapons before pulling theirs out. This group of thugs knocked down the entrance to a private and gated community which is an act of aggression. It is well within their rights to draw weapons to keep these thugs at bay.
