The left wants to talk about this “blue wall” that exists in the police department where no matter what, they back each other, right or wrong.

That’s why what happened at the Derek Chauvin trial was so important. We saw multiple police officers testify against Derek Chauvin, including the chief of police. They said that the “blue wall has fallen”.

But do you know what I think is just as equally a problem in today’s society? The black wall.

Today, there is just as much of a wall up within the black community as there is said to be in the police force.

Now, let me say that I can understand it to some degree. If the idea is that they really feel like they are being persecuted and that they need to stick together, fine, I get that. But that’s not typically what we’re seeing.

What we do see is people backing up a black person in encounters with police just because they’re black and completely ignore the reality of the situation.

Repeatedly, we’ve seen police-involved shootings take place where a black man is shot and killed. But they’ll completely ignore the fact that the black guy had a gun.

Take the incident with Ma’Khia Bryant, she was about to stab a teenage girl, possibly to death, and the police officer shot her to stop the threat. But what does the black community do? They get mad because the officer shot her! This is stupid and ignorant of facts; devoid of any logic.

Even some black people have expressed support of the officer’s decision and

“Breakfast Club” host Rashawn “DJ Envy” Casey has been hit with scathing critiques on social media in recent days because he dared to defend the Ohio police officer who shot black teenager Ma’Khia Bryant to prevent her from stabbing another black teenage girl.

“Every case is different,” Casey told Charlamagne Tha God earlier this week, as reported by Page Six. “And in this case, if I pull up to a scene and see a girl chasing another girl about to stab a girl, my job as a police officer is to make sure that girl doesn’t get killed. And the law allows me to stop that killing or that stabbing by any means necessary. That’s what the law allows me to do, on both sides.”

“The whole situation is tragic and it’s sad because that system failed that young lady. The fact that she’s out there fighting at 16 with a grown woman,” he said. “The fact that the older man seen in the video would rather kick the girl on the ground and join the fight instead of stopping the fight, all these things come together and the system failed that girl and it is sad.”

“Everybody’s saying [the police] shoot first, but he possibly saved that [other girl’s] life … if she would’ve stabbed her, who knows if she would’ve lived. She could have got cut in the throat, in the face, we just don’t know what could happen,” he added.

I’m thankful that this man can at least this incident in a reasonable light, but the reaction of Charlamagne and those from social media is exactly what I’m talking about with black people not using logic in incidents like this one. Even if there is an abuse of force from police far too often, that doesn’t magically mean that this was excessive force..
