As we all know, one of the first acts from Joe Biden after he was sworn into office was to put a stop to the contruction on the border wall.

This was a move that made absolutely no sense whatsoever, it was just a political move to show how opposed he was to President Trump. Again, it was purely political.

But that’s what Democrats do. That’s what we should expect out of them. They make rash decisions based on feelings and what might portray them in a positive light to the idiots on the left who have absolutely no understanding about how this country works, how security works, and how national policy works.

One GOP House representative has taken action to try and fight back against the Democrats by doing something to protect the border wall. Rep. Madison Cawthorn has “dropped” the “Donument Act”, which is a bill that would protect the wall by declaring it a national monument.

Rep. Cawthorn included the following in his press release:

“For four years President Trump worked to secure the southern border of the United States by constructing a wall in places where there was little to no fencing. The efforts by the Trump Administration to safeguard our southern border, through the construction of a border wall, reduced drug and human trafficking, and throttled the flow of illegal immigration. President Trump was able to build 455 miles of wall by the time he left office, and had funds allocated for further construction. A secure southern border was no longer simply a dream, it was a tangible reality. Sadly this reality is fast disappearing.

Immediately after gaining office, Biden issued a slew of Executive Orders, one of which directed a pause in planned wall construction and a reallocation of funds obligated for that purpose. Following Biden’s decision to place partisan politics over the security of the American people, illegal immigration, and drug trafficking rates skyrocketed. It’s time to put the safety and wellbeing of Americans first. The Donument Act establishes the southern border wall as the “Southern Border Wall National Monument,” and gives the monument permanent protection from alteration.

I will make every effort to protect and secure the southern border, and advance an America first agenda. If Biden refuses to finish the wall, you can be sure that American patriots will do everything in their power to protect it.”

If you want my opinion…the Democrats are in charge and there is no way that this thing is going anywhere. It’s just for show as well. I think it’s a great effort and maybe it helps them to look good when it comes time for reelection to prove that they’re trying, but while I applaud his courage and his act, it will go largely unnoticed and will not even be entertained by the Democrats in Congress.
