Piers Morgan Gets Fired Up Over Royal Interview with Oprah, “I Don’t Believe A Word She Says”
I have never liked Piers Morgan. Back when Barack Obama was president and Morgan was here in America, he just disgusted me.
I typically maintain a mental short list of people that I just do not like. Back then Obama was number one and Piers Morgan was number two, with Jay Carney closely behind.
Today, my list is much longer but includes governors like Gretchen Whitmer, Andrew Cuomo, Gavin Newsom, but also includes others such as Nancy Pelosi, AOC, Don Lemon, Chris Cuomo, Bill de Blasio.
Another person who I also dislike, but not as much as the others I mentioned is Meghan Markle. Well, apparently, Piers Morgan doesn’t like her either.
Last week, an interview aired in which Oprah sat down with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to discuss for the first time their departure from Buckingham Palace and the life of royalty.
Many things were said by Markle which makes the royal family look bad and racist in some regards. I’ll not give my opinions on what she has said because I didn’t watch the whole thing (my wife did and told me about it though) and therefore I can’t formulate a good and well-informed opinion yet.
However, Piers Morgan went on the attack against Markle for disgracing the royal family and dragging their name through mud and Morgan said they are all lies.
“On Monday, I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview,” Morgan wrote. “I’ve had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don’t. If you did, OK. Freedom of speech is a hill I’m happy to die on. Thanks for all the love, and hate. I’m off to spend more time with my opinions.”
Morgan then quoted the iconic British prime minister Winston Churchill’s statement, “Some people’s idea of free speech is that they are free to say what they like, but if anyone says anything back, that is an outrage.”

Morgan also said, “I don’t believe almost anything that comes out of her mouth, and I think the damage she’s done to the British monarchy and to the Queen at a time when Prince Philip is lying in hospital is enormous and frankly contemptible. If I have to fall on my sword for expressing an honestly-held opinion about Meghan Markle and that diatribe of bilge that she came out with in that interview, so be it. … I think it’s fair to say, although the woke crowd will think that they’ve cancelled me, I think they will be rather disappointed when I re-emerge.”
