Last week, Reuters released a bombshell report claiming that Proud Boys leader, Enrique Tarrio, was an FBI informant.

According to Vanessa Singh Johannes, who is the former federal prosecutor in a case against Tarrio, she claims that Tarrio is a snitch.

Johannes said Tarrio, “cooperated with local and federal law enforcement, to aid in the prosecution of those running other, separate criminal enterprises, ranging from running marijuana grow houses in Miami to operating pharmaceutical fraud schemes.”

Reuters reported,

In the Miami hearing, a federal prosecutor, a Federal Bureau of Investigation agent and Tarrio’s own lawyer described his undercover work and said he had helped authorities prosecute more than a dozen people in various cases involving drugs, gambling and human smuggling.

Tarrio, in an interview with Reuters Tuesday, denied working undercover or cooperating in cases against others. “I don’t know any of this,” he said, when asked about the transcript. “I don’t recall any of this.”

Now, Tarrio is speaking out about what really happened.

Tarrio did in fact cooperate with the FBI after he was arrested in 2012, so nearly 10 years ago. But as an arrangement, he worked with them to try and put some human traffickers behind bars and to protect his own family. To me, this seems like a logical move.

Tarrio said, “We must ask ourselves, who is truly upset that there are less human traffickers and drug pushers in our communities.”

So it’s not as though Tarrio was working with the FBI in some sort of attempt to set up people who are a part of the Proud Boys organization or anything of that nature. He wasn’t some sort of snitch and he wasn’t behind any of the mess that happened at the Capitol.

But I’ll tell you what I’m curious about. He was arrested and prevented from going to the Captiol. I wonder why? Did they know something was going to happen and they made the arrest to stop him from being a part of it so they could leverage him again? Maybe they were trying to question him to find out about the events that would transpire that day. Who knows?
