Rep. Jim Jordan UNLOADS on Hypocrite Democrats During Heated Impeachment Debate
On Wednesday, the House of Representatives gathered together to hold debate on the proposed second impeachment of President Trump. They, of course, confirmed the motion.
This is about as political of a move by the Democrats as anything else that I’ve ever seen. It’s even more political than when they impeached him the first time.
Democrats knew that they had absolutely no chance at having the President removed from office last year, and they stand an absolute zero chance at getting rid of him this time.
For goodness sake, they wouldn’t even hold a hearing until after Joe Biden is inaugurated which at that point, President Trump would be gone anyway and you can’t impeach a private citizen.
Tempers were high during the debate on the House floor, especially when Rep. Jim Jordan called out Democrats for their hypocrisy after the objected to more states when President Trump won the last election than what the Republicans objected to this time.
“In his opening remarks, the Democrat chair of the Rules Committee said that Republicans last week voted to overturn the results of an election. Guess who the first objector was on Jan. 6, 2017?” Jordan said. “First objector, the Democrat chair of the Rules Committee. And guess what state he objected to? Alabama, the very first state called.”
“They tell us we’re trying to overturn the election? Guess who the second objector was in 2017? The individual managing the impeachment for the Democrats,” Jordan said, referring to Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin.
“Americans are tired of the double standard. They are so tired of it,” he said.
“Democrats objected to more states in 2016 than Republicans did last week, but somehow we’re wrong?” he went on, noting that Democrats had spent four years investigating Trump but refused to look at an election that millions of people had doubts about.
