The Ridiculous Irony Of Calling Trump A Fascist
People on the left today casually throw around terms like racist, bigot, and fascist to describe their political foes. This is a childish tactic that (I think) intends to delegitimize anyone that disagrees with their ideas. It’s a cheap way to attempt to brand someone with a somewhat irredeemable label so that their ideas are easily dismissed.
These labels aren’t true and most of the people using them know that. But they use them anyway.
Let’s take a look at one common label for Trump and his supporters…”fascist”.
Prior to the Trump administration, fascism was a rarely used word in US politics. Somehow, a bunch of jobless morons in places like Portland decided to change its meaning to instead stand for anything Trump does or says.
The Definition
What does this word mean? According to the Webster dictionary, it means:
– a political philosophy, movement, or regime that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
Let’s break this down so that we can understand how ridiculous it is to call Trump a facist.
“Exalts nation and often race over the individual”
So the president that focused intently on the economy which led to the lowest unemployment rates ever is somehow focused on the nation more than the people of the nation? More so, minority unemployment was at an all time low prior to the China virus. Not to mention funding historically black colleges more than ever and setting up opportunity investment zones, a move that has had huge success for black neighborhoods. So clearly Trump doesn’t promote one race over another.
[By the way, I personally am okay with a healthy dose of nationalism especially considering that we are basically in World War 3 right now with China, Russia, Iran, and others. Modern warfare won’t look like past wars. It’s about controlling information and money in the digital space.]
“Stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader”
This one is really stupid. Clearly, nobody, including Trump, is dictating anything in the United States. Our government just doesn’t work that way and even if a president wanted to dictate, they couldn’t. Saying Trump has dictated anything is completely inaccurate and a childlike attempt to make a point. Moving on….
“Severe economic and social regimentation”
Ok, this one is really fun because not only is it easy to dismiss but it actually exposes how Democrats are the ones aiming to regiment the economy and social activities.
Economy? How about government mandated healthcare that forces you to pay a fine if you don’t buy it.
Society? How about lockdowns during a pandemic for a virus with a 99.9% survival rate? How about making people wear masks everywhere they go, even outside? Banning people from church? Or telling people that can’t see their families on Thanksgiving or Christmas? Not fascist? Please!
But yes…Trump is the fascist. See how dumb these people sound?
“Forcible suppression of opposition”
Last, but certainly not least, is the newest trick Democrats are using to attempt to beat their political enemies. Public shaming, suppression, and censorship.
Has Trump suppressed anyone? No.
Did Obama use the FBI and CIA to spy on political foes, including Trump? Absolutely.
Has the liberal media suppressed anyone? Of course, every day.
Has Big Tech suppressed anyone? Yes, thousands of conservatives, daily.
Trump and the Republicans aren’t the ones making lists of political foes so that they can “make them jobless” or to shame them for the rest of their lives. That’s the Democrats. That’s a call from arguably the most popular Democrat, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez. Literally asking people to keep names of the Trump admin and supporters.
One thing is for sure. Trump, his administration, and his policies have not been fascist at all. However, there is a real fascist regime lurking right in front of our noses. Will the so-called “antifa” losers be willing to label the left as the true fascists? Highly doubtful.
