Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have not even moved into their new homes yet and Doug Emhoff is already cashing in on his new celebrity status.

Doug Emhoff, for those of you that don’t know, is Kamala Harris’ husband. He is making history as the “first” Second Gentleman of the country (if and when Joe Biden gets inaugurated). He has also reportedly landed a pretty cushy job assignment for the next four years.

The Hill is reporting that Emhoff is going to be joining the faculty at Georgetown Law in the upcoming semester. This just happens to be one of the most prestigious law programs in the country.

Georgetown Law announced that Emhoff will be serving as a distinguished visitor from practice, “drawing in part on his deep expertise in media and entertainment matters to teach related coursework, starting with ‘Entertainment Law Disputes’ in the upcoming spring semester.”

Emhoff will also be able to add distinguished fellow of Georgetown Law’s Institute for Technology Law and Policy to his resume.

Georgetown Law Dean William M. Treanor stated, “I am delighted that Douglas Emhoff will be joining our faculty. Doug is one of the nation’s leading intellectual property and business litigators, and he has a strong commitment to social justice. I know our students will greatly benefit from his experience and insight, and I am eagerly looking forward to his arrival.”

On his new appointment, Emhoff stated, “I’ve long wanted to teach and serve the next generation of young lawyers. I couldn’t be more excited to join the Georgetown community.”

This now means that both the incoming First Lady and Second Gentleman will be teaching while their respective spouses hold the two highest offices in the country.

Not Without Controversy

Emhoff’s legal career and his ties to Kamala Harris as a prosecutor are not without controversy. This is extensively covered by author Peter Schweizer, most notably in “Profiles in Corruption.”

For instance, Emhoff represented Walmart during the big Herbalife scandal, but Harris declined to prosecute the case.

Shockingly (sarcasm intended), none of this was looked into by the mainstream media during the election. Had they even started to skim the surface of Kamala Harris, they would have found some pretty interesting stories that would have had all of America wondering just how corrupt this woman is and if there is any case she would not have overlooked for campaign donations or personal connections.
