For the last four years, we have seen a massive crackdown on terrorism by the Trump administration to the point many believe that ISIS has been decimated past the point of return.

That could all change with a Biden administration, a grim reminder of which we just received.

Nigeria Terror Attack

This weekend, the Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram carried out a deadly attack in Nigeria. The attack has already claimed at least 110 souls, with searches still being conducted for more bodies. Dozens more were injured as well.

According to AFP, “The assailants tied up the agricultural workers and slit their throats in the village of Koshobe.

“The victims were laborers from Sokoto state in northwest Nigeria, roughly 1,000 kilometers (600 miles) away, who had traveled to the northeast to find work.

“The bodies were taken to Zabarmari village, two kilometers away, where they would be kept ahead of burial Sunday, said resident Mala Bunu, who took part in the search-and-rescue operation.

“Last month, Boko Haram militants slaughtered 22 farmers working in their irrigation fields near Maiduguri in two separate incidents. Boko Haram and ISWAP, its IS-linked rival, have increasingly targeted loggers, herders and fishermen in their violent campaign, accusing them of spying and passing information to the military and the local militia fighting them.”

The attack was carried out when residents, for the first time in more than a decade, were able to cast ballots in a general election for government officials.

The Reaction

Outrage immediately ensued around the nation with Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari also issuing a statement.

He stated, “I condemn the killing of our hardworking farmers by terrorists in Borno State.

“The entire country is hurt by these senseless killings. My thoughts are with their families in this time of grief. May their souls rest in peace.”

Ironically, the reaction from D.C. Democrats was eerily silent, with more outrage being voiced over the recent assassination that was carried out against an Iranian nuclear scientist who was believed to have been playing a key role in the nuclear capabilities of Iran.

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) was among the first to voice his displeasure over that attack, but he has noticeably sat on his hands about this attack.

One of the reasons terrorist attacks have been on a massive downturn is because Donald Trump has strangled the Iranian economy with sanctions, sanctions many believe will be lifted very early on in a Biden administration.

Once that money starts to flow and these financiers can start to send more money to these terrorist organizations, don’t be too surprised if we see attacks like this carried out every week.
