No matter who wins the election, the real winner might be the mainstream media. And Americans will be the losers. 

It is a fact that the media leans to the left. Even without the data to prove it, most people (and especially conservatives) feel this bias. Of course it is evident on the daily news shows that focus so much on politics. But it is also obvious when you’re watching your favorite sports team, tv show, or musician.

Overall, they have profited by turning coverage of our President into a 24/7 roast and by turning the pandemic into a panic-porn telethon. The laser like focus on scaring society while also amplifying the idea that Trump is the villain has been a successful formula for more viewers, readers, and ultimately more profit. 

In particular, the left leaning media has accomplished two significant blows to American freedom as we know it.

Tearing Down Trump

First, they have smeared and lied about President Trump in an effort to evict him from the White House. This potential eviction will be celebrated by NBC, CNN, and others, but also by some of America’s biggest adversaries like China and Iran. However, it will also mean that the most pro-America and hardest working president in several decades will not be given another term to fight for our nation. 

It will end the very necessary trade battle with China. It will loosen our borders and welcome people whose primary goal is to benefit from a country that they have no allegiance to. It will end an economy-first focus that benefits every American in favor of policy that aims to create an impossible utopia. And so much more…

Virus Panic

And second, the media has scared a large chunk of the American population into complete and total fear. There are people all over the country that are afraid to go to work, to school, to the store, on vacation, and even to the doctor. Our freedom to think positively and to do as we wish has been infringed on and removed in many cases. 

For a virus that kills very few people compared to overall infections, our country has completely submitted to the fear. It’s common to hear people say things like “this is the new normal” or “I’m not traveling for a few years”. Seriously? Most people have a greater chance of dying while driving to their vacation than they do of dying from Covid-19. But the media has tricked people and caused them to not think logically. 

These statements make me cringe because Covid-19 is simply not as dangerous as the media has made it out to be. But the media gained viewers and readers because they made people think they might die if they didn’t have the latest information.

We can do our part to keep Trump in office by voting. But there is no vote to stop the pandemic. We must simply stop succumbing to the leftist narrative and get back to our lives, our jobs, our schools, and our churches. 

Don’t let the corrupt, leftist media succeed with their mission of dividing our nation!
