A New Jersey man was just arrested this week after he had dumped some mail into a dumpster. The mail included 99 general election ballots as well.

Even without the ballots being in the mail, this is a federal offense. Mail and mailboxes are just things you can’t mess with. You can’t even go around and open someone else’s mailbox(from MailboxEmpire) to place a piece of mail into it. Even that is a federal offense.

The guy dumped nearly 2000 pieces of mail!

The Department of Justice said in a statement,

“Approximately 1,875 pieces of mail – including 627 pieces of first class, 873 pieces of standard class, two pieces of certified mail, 99 general election ballots destined for residents in West Orange, and 276 campaign flyers from local candidates for West Orange Town Council and Board of Education – were recovered from dumpsters in North Arlington and West Orange on Oct. 2, 2020, and Oct. 5, 2020. The mail had been scheduled to be delivered on Sept. 28, Oct. 1, and Oct. 2, 2020, to addresses on certain postal routes in Orange and West Orange. On the delivery dates for which mail was recovered, Beauchene was the only mail carrier assigned to deliver mail to the addresses on the recovered mail.”

What’s really sad about the whole thing is that he has a baby who was just born earlier this year. Now this idiot threw that away and will be spending the most important years of the baby’s life in prison.

The man’s Facebook profile is now either deleted or private or something, but when I looked at it, his friends were ripping into him for what he did. This is also how I found out that he had a child born this year.

Fortunately, the mail was recovered and put back into the delivery stream so it could find its proper destination.

As you are probably already aware, this isn’t the first time that a mail carrier has been caught tampering with election ballots which alter the election.
