When it comes to anything COVID-19 related the Democratic-run states sit at the top of the list with some of the most extreme guidelines and orders for preventing the spread of the virus.

Many, and possibly most states have implemented some sort of mandatory mask-wearing requirement. So if you’re out in public, you have to wear a mask.

Some places take it more seriously than others, but in California, they took taking something seriously to a whole new level.

In Costa Mesa, CA a number of people were arrested after entering a store without masks. The store manager actually went and locked the doors preventing them from leaving and called the police.

Two women were arrested on suspicion of trespassing during an anti-mask rally in Costa Mesa Saturday afternoon, Aug. 15, authorities said.

Costa Mesa police were called to Mother’s Market, at 1890 Newport Blvd., by a manager reporting the trespassers before 2:15 p.m., police spokeswoman Roxi Fyad said.

It was unclear what the protesters did to get arrested. Their identities were not immediately released by authorities.

A rally had been taking place adjacent to the store near Newport Boulevard and 19th Street since 11 a.m., with demonstrators protesting COVID-19 restrictions, police said.

So there seems to be some conflicting information. I’d like to hear first of all how it is that they were trespassing. Secondly, I’d like to know how legal it is to lock someone inside a building and prevent them from leaving if they haven’t committed a crime. Because in order for a crime to have been committed, there has to be a law in place. If the “law” was simply not wearing a mask, then they had no right to detain the women without masks simply for that fact because it’s not a law.

On top of that, how big of a jerk do you have to be to lock someone in and call the police because of a mask? Give me a break.
