Rashida Tlaib Asking for Lightning to Strike Her, “F— A National Day of Prayer”
Rep. Rashida Tlaib is one of the most disgusting people in Congress. I fear that she hasn’t received enough of the spotlight like Ilhan Omar of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has experienced since entering the House for her to be at an immediate risk of being voted out in November.
I definitely hope I’m wrong because all the wants to do it cause division in our great country and insult those who don’t think the exact same way that she does.
Just this past Sunday, our nation had a National Day of Prayer. This was to be a time when our nation would come together (not physically) and petition God to heal our nation following 2 Chronicles 7:14 which says, “if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
There are a couple things to note there. The first is “my people”. The people of God, not Americans. Not every American is God’s people.
Secondly, it’s not just praying, but seeking God as well. It takes more than just empty words. Jesus said that his people must “seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
Rashida Tlaib isn’t going to do that though. Instead, she retweeted a post from sideshow act David Hogg who said, “F**k a National day of prayer”.
It looks like she deleted the tweet since retweeting it, but the stain has already been left.
Hogg was tweeting of course in response to Ben Carson’s speaking of a day of prayer in which Carson said,
“There’s nothing wrong with godly principles no matter what your faith is. Loving your neighbor, caring about the people around you, developing your God-given talents to the utmost so that you become valuable to the people around you, having values and principles that govern your life – those are things that made America zoom to the top of the world in record time.”
“And those are the things that will keep us there too.”
