Kaepernick Skips NFL Workout, Compares Himself to a Slave – “He Doesn’t Want To Play, He Wants To Be A Martyr”
Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback and sports/political activist, Colin Kaepernick had his chance to get back into the NFL by attending a workout where 25 NFL teams would be there to watch him and had he performed well, he would likely have had a job within the month.
Three hours before the workout, he decided that he want to change the venue, he wants his own receivers, he wants to video things himself. This guy is an absolute joke. He could have made requests before the day of the workout. The workout was supposed to be at the Atlanta Falcon’s practice stadium, but he was wanting to practice at a high school instead? What is going through this man’s mind?
He’s literally been given the chance to prove himself and have a shot to get back into the NFL, and instead, he decided to portray himself as a martyr, wearing a Kunta Kinte shirt depicting himself as a slave instead.
The man is worth millions of dollars because he played a game for his job, and he’s griping about being oppressed and comparing himself to a slave? Get real.

According to The Daily Wire,
The session, according to ESPN, allowed Kaepernick an on-field work and an interview, which would both be taped and made available to all teams. Moreover, the workout was set up to provide teams anonymity, so if they watched Kaepernick and didn’t want him, they wouldn’t catch flack. This was done to encourage more teams to attend the event, thus helping the quarterback secure a position.
But that wasn’t good enough for Kaepernick.
The 32-year-old cancelled the workout abruptly on Saturday, about a half hour before the session was supposed to begin, apparently because he wasn’t allowed to bring his own camera crew.
“The workout was originally set for 3 p.m. and was to be held at the Atlanta Falcons’ practice facility in Flowery Branch,” CBS News reported. “At 2:30, representatives for the free agent quarterback informed the league that Kaepernick would instead be conducting the workout at 4 p.m. at Drew High School in Riverdale, Georgia.”
