The advice that Joy Behar from ABC’s “The View” gave to Democrats is so stupid and so dangerous that she really just needs to keep her mouth shut before she gets someone hurt.

Behar said, “They should not tell everything they’re going to do. Like if you are going to take people’s guns away, wait until you get elected and then take the guns away. Don’t tell them ahead of time.”

According to The Daily Wire,

Behar’s remarks arose during a segment where the panel was discussing former Rep. Beto O’Rourke’s (D-TX) decision to end his presidential campaign and drop out of the race for the Democratic nomination.

O’Rourke, who was initially hesitant to reveal where he stood on a host of issues in the onset of his presidential run, pivoted to the far-left after relaunching his campaign over the summer. Most notably, the former Texas lawmaker was the first major 2020 Democratic presidential candidate to call for a nationwide mandatory gun confiscation program for all so-called “assault weapons.”

The proposal has been a divisive topic for the Democratic Party. While O’Rourke’s declaration that “Hell, yes, we’re going to take away your AR-15 [and] your AK-47” has received massive applause from his left-wing supporters, many Democratic lawmakers have since been distancing themselves. Democrats, including those in leadership, have largely been sounding the alarm that such an anti-Second Amendment idea will backfire and simply fire up the Republican base.

There are a few things to discuss in regards to her statement.

First, the whole idea to not tell people you’re going to take their guns away if you win the election. Let’s consider that a moment. Why would that be the best thing to do for a Democrat? The answer is simple, because most Americans do not want guns taken away. If the majority of the country was in favor of getting rid of guns, then it would be a smart move to announce it because they’d likely win over the majority.

So Behar is saying that the views of the minority of the people or the view of single individuals should trump those of the majority of the nation. This have become one of the most critical problems with Democrats; they only want to do what they want to do. They truly and honestly do not have the best interests of the public in their minds.

Secondly, you’ve probably seen videos of police showing up somewhere unannounced either sneaking around someone’s property at night with a gun, or as part of a SWAT team. Do you know what a frequent result of those incidents is? Someone dying. That’s what is going to happen when you start to try and confiscate guns from lawful owners.
