Mitt Romney’s Secret Twitter Account To Defend Himself and Bash Trump
Mitt Romney revealed last week that he has a secret Twitter account in which he uses to talk trash on President Trump and to defend himself online. What a tool!
But his secret account isn’t such a secret anymore. He ended up giving away too many details about the account that enabled a writer for Slate to uncover the account.
According to The Atlantic,
“That’s kind of what he does,” Romney said with a shrug, and then got up to retrieve an iPad from his desk. He explained that he uses a secret Twitter account—“What do they call me, a lurker?”—to keep tabs on the political conversation. “I won’t give you the name of it,” he said, but “I’m following 668 people.” Swiping at his tablet, he recited some of the accounts he follows, including journalists, late-night comedians (“What’s his name, the big redhead from Boston?”), and athletes. Trump was not among them. “He tweets so much,” Romney said, comparing the president to one of his nieces who overshares on Instagram. “I love her, but it’s like, Ah, it’s too much.”
The two key things that gave away the account was that he was following 668 people and that he followed Conan O’Brien .
Here is the link to the account but he has since made it unavailable for other to see what his tweets are and you’re probably unlikely to get approved to follow him at this point now that the account is widely known and he probably is receiving hundreds if not thousands of requests to follow him at this point.
Romney didn’t say anything over the top or really do anything scandalous. Most of the accounts activity involved short comments, likes, and retweets of anti-Trump material pushed by other liberals. I say other liberals because in all reality, he’s a liberal under the name of Republican.
Just another RINO like John McCain.
